AAYA Summer Volunteering Program at Fox Trail: 100th Birthday Celebration!

By: Jack Dong

Volunteers built the resident a gift basket of all her favorite things, among which were the color green and airplanes.

Recently, one resident at a Fox Trail Memory Care Center turned 100 years old! To celebrate her birthday, AAYA volunteers made a birthday gift basket that included some of her favorite things. She loves the color green, dinosaurs, planes, and candy, so our volunteers decided to make birthday cards in the shape of paper airplanes, and got her lots of candy and toy dinosaurs. She had a great birthday party with her family in attendance and loved her gifts as it reminded her of her childhood. Throughout the AAYA 100+ Hour summer program at Fox Trail Memory Care Centers, our volunteers have been working hard to provide a fun and interactive experience with the residents to brighten their days. We are so proud of all of the great work so far and the great work to come from our volunteers in this program, as they are truly making a difference in these residents' lives.
