AAYA met in the conference room of the Closter Public Library and discussed plans on how to kick off the new age of AAYA

A New Era

As AAYA prepares for a summer of giving back, Hoon Jung takes over as the new president, overseeing the daily operations of AAYA. Hoon was a previous officer during the early stages of AAYA under Ian Kim’s leadership, leading the AAYA Earthquake Relief in Turkey Medical Drive. This change in leadership marks a new chapter in AAYA as founders Ian Kim, Inho Kee, and Kyle Gwon step down from their respective positions, president, vice president, and treasurer, as they prepare for their future. Secretary Alyssa Shin and chief editor Erin Yoon are also stepping down from their positions as they pursue further interests. To fill these open positions, AAYA has chosen Brandon Park as the new vice president and Jay Lim as the new creative director because of their excellent contributions to the organization in the past. Despite these changes, our new officers look to continue where our founders had left off and continue to give back to the community.
